Stretch hood machine for High Flexibility and Load Stability

The fully automatic MSK Tensiontech stretch hood machine - already the fourth generation ever since its introduction more than 20 years ago - packages all kinds of different pallet formats with stretch film. The packaging machine is designed to meet highest performance standards and packages up to 240 products per hour. Optionally,it is available as space-saving compact version that features a packaging performance of up to 150 products per hour.
For each format in mixed product operations, the film is stretched in horizontal and transverse direction according to any coordinates needed. This way, optimum load safety can be obtained, although thinner film is used. The stable Understretch method connects the product and its packaging into a stable transport unit.

A clean and maintenance-friendly solution

The machine head of the MSK Tensiontech stretch hood machine can be lowered to ground level, which makes its maintenance quick and simple, as no ladders or platforms are necessary. Similarly, film rolls and sealing bars can easily be exchanged thanks to convenient plugs and sockets and user-friendly access at ground level. The MSK Tensiontech stretch hood machine handles film application without any hydraulics above the product, and tooth belts instead of chains ensure material-conserving and clean handling with minimal maintenance effort and very little wear.

MSK development for ideal product stackability

For on-plant transport, packaged appliances always have to be stackable in a safe and quick way. The innovative MSK laminating system makes it possible for the film to be completely smooth after hood application, which notably improves the product stackability. On the plus side, this technology also allows for usage of lower-priced film.

Energy-efficient packaging

Thanks to special MSK technology, the energy consumption of the MSK Tensiontech stretch hood machine is notably less than 0.1 kW per packaging unit, or about 30% less than for many similar systems, respectively.

Cost-savings through MSK ClearView Packaging

Since the product is visible at all times, transport damage is reduced considerably and storage of a high volume of packaging material belongs to the past. Compared to common packaging solutions, the MSK Tensiontech 2010 stretch hood machine is able to use lower-priced stretch film, while it also minimizes the amount used by applying a very preserving film stretch method. At MSK, even perforated film can be used.
