40 years of innovation
As a pioneer in shrink packaging in France, MSK Emballage SARL was founded on 14th July 1984 in Villefranche. Based on the passion of the founder Reiner Hannen, who has a special affinity for France, focal points of development were realized here. For example, the undershrink system for the glass industry which increased the stability significantly, so that film thickness could be reduced. The MSK anti-collage system for the beverage industry was based on a request by Perrier for their film-packed six-packs and patented in 1984. The aim was to pack these with PE film for a safe transport, and then unpack them without damaging the underlying six-pack film.
Almost all customers request specific solutions, so the MSK machines were adapted to their needs. In turn, also other MSK customers benefited. At Cristal d’Arc, for example, for the first time 50μm film was used for transport securing. It was the beginning of reducing an average film thickness of 100μm for pallet load securing by an average of 20%.
In the container glass industry, MSK developed further to become market leader for cold ends. Currently, project of up to 20mio€ are manufactured.
Recycling of packaging film
One of the first MSK Defotech was delivered to Kronenbourg in 1995. The machine unwraps film from pallet loads fully automatically and prepares it for recycling. The machine has been unique since 25 years until today in the high-performance sector. The latest development is a Destrapper, which removes from pallet loads and shreds ready for recycling strapping band, fully automatically.
Service
MSK gained a special reputation for reliability in Service. With the growth of machines and systems, the control grew too, therefore MSK developed its own software MSK EMSY HMI (electronic management system). Customers receive summarized key performance data about their MSK system and are remotely supported. Based on facts, monteurs can travel onsite with preparation to solve faults timely. Preventive maintenance programs reduce downtime, and a local stock of spare parts supports quality after-sales service by allowing to deliver customers in need shortly, for maximum productivity.
After founding MSK Emballage, first references in the French market could be gained with Perrier, Evian, Vittel, St Gobain and Kronenbourg. Today, also customers like Nestlé, Rhodia, Deroma, Franprix, KEM ONE, Laita and Vicat and many more trust in MSK.
A French team equal to the challenges to take up
Made-in-France services range from sales to engineering, project management, after-sales and technical services, and are delivered from Reyrieux by experienced employees to France, and for exporting to further countries such as Spain, Italy, Egypt, and Nigeria. For maximum quality control, even parts production is managed inhouse in the MSK Group, since approximately 30 years.
MSK Emballage benefits from modern premises including an assembly hall and a test center, ready for customers to accept their machine before delivery and testing of different packaging solutions for their products.
Finally, the company also owes its strength to its workforce, made up of young recruits and long-serving employees who have evolved over the years. Mr. Yves Petrozzi, Technical Director, comments: “In 1995, I started as a PLC programmer.
